<div class="article-perex" itemprop="description">Víťazom ankety Strom roka 2020 sa stal prastarý dub z Malej Pešti (obec Drnava, okres Rožňava), ktorý sa nachádza pri bývalom areáli Drnavských zeleziarní grofa Andrassyho. </div>

<div class="article" itemprop="articleBody">BRATISLAVA 13. novembra (SITA) – Dub získal 5 246 hlasov a na jar bude reprezentovať Slovensko v európskej súťaži stromov. V tlačovej správe o tom informovala Martina Ragalová z Nadácie Ekopolis.<br />

Na druhom mieste s počtom hlasov 3 191, sa ocitla Lipa veľkolistá zo Štitár (okres Nitra), ktorá stojí pri kostolíku sv. Imricha. Tretie miesto patrí Lipe malolistej z oravskej obce Zákamenné (okres Námestovo), pričom tá získala 3 105 hlasov.<br />

V rámci ankety organizátori vyhlásili aj súťaž v zbieraní hlasov pre školy. V súťaži zvíťazili Základná škola Moskovská z Banskej Bystrice, Základná škola J. Fándlyho zo Serede a Základná škola Karpatská zo Žiliny. „Základnú školu A.Bagara z Trenčianskych Teplíc sme ocenili v novej, samostatnej kategórii, kde nerozhodoval počet hlasov, ale ich chuť zapojiť sa do hlasovania,“ priblížil Peter Medveď, riaditeľ Nadácie Ekopolis.<br />

Prastarý dub z Malej Pešti sa nachádza pri bývalom areáli Drnavských zeleziarní grofa Andrássyho. Tu sa v 40-tych rokoch 19. storočia odlievali konštrukčné diely Retazového mosta „Lanchíd“ v Budapešti, za čo si obec vyslúžila prezývku „Kis Pest – Malá Pest“. Dnes je tento strom jednym zo zastavení na naucnom chodníku Poklady Drnavy, ktorý obcou prechádza a vracia navstevníkov do dob banictva. Dub patrí k neodmysliteľným symbolom už niekoľko generácií – stojí na starej obchodnej ceste. Zmienka o dube sa nachádza v obecnej kronike už v roku 1670.</div>
